Delete Account and Data

Instructions for deleting your personal data under Art. 17 GDPR

We respect your right to have your data deleted. On this page you will find instructions for deleting your account and all associated data β€” depending on whether you use the Stempely app as a customer or the Stempely Admin Portal as a shop owner.

1. Stempely App (Customers)

Important: Stempely is an offline-first app. Your stamp cards and personal settings are stored exclusively locally on your device. There is no account with name, email or password.

Option A: Uninstall the app (recommended)

Uninstalling the app irrevocably deletes all locally stored data β€” including stamp cards, settings and the anonymous user ID.

  • iOS: Long-press the Stempely icon β†’ "Remove App" β†’ "Delete App"
  • Android: Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Stempely β†’ "Uninstall"

Option B: Delete data within the app

You can delete individual stamp cards directly in the app via swipe gesture (to the left) without uninstalling the app.

Option C: Request server-side data deletion

If you have received push notifications, your FCM token (anonymous) is registered with our push service. Send us an email to kontakt@stempely.de with the subject "Data deletion Stempely", and we will delete all server-stored data within 30 days.

2. Stempely Admin Portal (Shop Owners)

As a shop owner, you can delete your account directly in the admin portal:

  1. Sign in at www.stempely.de
  2. Open Dashboard β†’ Account
  3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section
  4. Click the "Delete Account" button and confirm

What gets deleted?

  • Shop profile and business data
  • Login credentials (email, password hash)
  • Customer list and stamp data
  • Created promotions and push messages
  • Uploaded logos and media
  • Stripe payment link (invoices are retained for 10 years for legal reasons)

What is retained?

For legal reasons, the following data must be retained:

  • Invoices and payment receipts (10 years, Β§ 147 AO German tax law)
  • Contract data (3 years, Β§ 195 BGB German civil code)

3. Request deletion via email

If you no longer have access to your account or need help, contact us:

Subject: Data deletion

Content: Please provide the email address of your shop account or (for the Stempely app) your anonymous user ID, which you can find under Settings β†’ Account.

4. Processing time

We process deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

In addition to deletion, you have other rights under GDPR (access, rectification, data portability). Details can be found in our Privacy Policy.
